Avalon Beach sits near the top of Sydney's Northern Beaches peninsula, a long way up the coast road from the city and a much longer way from our packing bench in Geelong, Victoria. The distance is the reason our process looks the way it does. Each hamper is packed by hand by our own team, and from the moment it leaves the bench it travels as a tracked Australia Post parcel, so a box headed for the peninsula is visible the entire way. We put our name to one timing rule only: order before 12pm on a weekday and your hamper is dispatched the same day, while orders after midday leave the next business day. Delivery dates to any Sydney postcode are Australia Post's to achieve, so instead of promising one, we hand you the tracking and keep our side of the bargain at the bench.

What the recipient opens

A premium hamper box under gold ribbon, with a free personalised gift card carrying your message tucked beneath the bow. Inside, the range runs on Chocolatier Belgian chocolate truffles, Kangaroo Island Produce Co honey popcorn, Kangaroo Island olives and Valley Produce Company mini artisan crackers, with Scottie Dog shortbread fingers, the VPC fig and almond pyramid, Chocolatier caramelised cashew brittle and Buttermilk caramel sea salt fudge rotating through depending on the box. Most hampers travel inside an insulated shipper, so the truffles arrive as intended even in the warm months.

Champagne or not

For the celebratory version, the champagne hampers carry G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge, Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut or Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, and there are wine boxes with Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Shiraz or Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc. For the version without a bottle, the alcohol-free hampers keep the food identical, which is usually the right call for offices and new parents.

The cost rule and the wider city

Any hamper over $100 ships free to Avalon Beach. A hamper under $100 attracts a shipping charge, and each hamper is judged alone, because each is packed and posted as its own parcel.
