What replaces the bottle

A wine bottle takes up roughly a third of a hamper by volume, so lifting it out leaves a real hole. Filling that space properly means more of the food people actually finish, rather than padding and tissue paper.

Packed to the lid

A box built to carry a bottle is deep, and food alone will slide around inside it and arrive looking half unpacked. So the alcohol free hampers are filled to the lid rather than arranged around an absence, which is a packing decision as much as a buying one. Each is put together by hand, one at a time, in a premium gift box finished with gold ribbon, and most travel inside an insulated shipper so chocolate and fudge hold their shape through a warm week. The result should look deliberate when the lid comes off, because it was.

Who these are for

The reasons people ask for alcohol free hampers are ordinary and worth respecting rather than working around.

• Pregnancy, and the first months after, when a food hamper is far more use than wine.
• Someone unwell or recovering, where alcohol is off the table for medical reasons. Our get well soon hampers follow the same principle.
• Faith and personal choice, where a bottle would be an awkward thing to open in front of the sender.

Ordering an alcohol free hamper

Orders placed before 12pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day, and every parcel is tracked with Australia Post. Because each hamper travels as its own parcel, shipping is worked out per hamper rather than across a whole order, so a hamper over $100 clears the free shipping threshold on its own. If an item is unavailable on the day we pack, it is replaced with something of equal or greater value from the same category, so a savoury selection does not arrive as a sweet one.

Alcohol free hamper questions

Is this just the standard hamper with the wine removed?

No. These are assembled as food hampers in the first place, so the volume and the balance are built in rather than left as a gap. Nothing has been lifted out of a box that was designed to hold a bottle.

Can I send one to a hospital or a workplace?

Often yes, and alcohol-free is usually the safer choice for both. Hospitals vary on whether they accept parcels for patients, so check with the ward before sending. Include the ward or the company name in the address so the parcel can be matched to a person at the other end.

Do you have gluten free options as well?

We do. If the recipient avoids gluten as well as alcohol, start from our gluten free range and check the individual product listings, since the two requirements do not always overlap in the same hamper.

Can I include a message?
