Order Hampers for Mother's Day
Two mothers, two suburbs, one Saturday morning to sort it out. That is the actual shape of Mother's Day for most people, and it is why our checkout lets a single order ship to several different addresses rather than making you place one order per mum. Choose the hampers, enter each address, pay once.
What goes inside is worth more thought than the ribbon. The Mother's Day hampers lean towards afternoon tea and quiet indulgence: Belgian chocolate truffles, shortbread, honey popcorn and fruit jellies, with champagne where it suits her. Every one carries your message on a free personalised gift card, tucked under the bow.

Work out which mum you are buying for
Mother's Day gifting goes wrong when it is bought as a category instead of for a person. Four honest types cover most families.
- The tea-and-something type. Scottie Dog shortbread fingers, Valley Produce Company fig and almond fruit pyramid and Kangaroo Island Produce Co honey popcorn. Related reading on our biscuits and shortbread range.
- The chocolate one. Chocolatier Belgian chocolate truffles and Buttermilk caramel sea salt fudge do the work here, with Borgo de Medici macarons in a few hampers. See also gourmet chocolate.
- The one who prefers savoury. Kangaroo Island olives, mini artisan crackers, Mr Filbert's nuts and Hunter's Gourmet black truffle potato chips. She will thank you for skipping the sweets.
- The one who deserves a sit down. Pair food with a bottle from the champagne hampers, or look at the pamper hampers if the point is an afternoon off rather than a feed.
One order, several mums
Your mother, his mother, a grandmother, a stepmother and the friend who has done more mothering than anyone. The ship-to-multiple-addresses function at checkout handles all of them in a single transaction, so you are not re-entering card details four times. Each hamper is packed and sent separately with its own tracking, and each carries its own gift card message, which matters because the same words do not suit every recipient.
Two practical notes. The hampers do not have to match, so a savoury one can go to the mother-in-law who does not eat sweets while a chocolate one goes to your own, and shipping is worked out per hamper rather than across the order, because each is packed and sent as its own parcel. A hamper over $100 ships free on its own merits. Two hampers under that amount do not combine to clear the threshold.
A first Mother's Day is a different gift
The first one, with a baby a few months old, is the hardest to buy for and the easiest to get wrong. She is unlikely to want anything that needs preparing, plating or staying awake for. Things that can be eaten one-handed while feeding, at three in the afternoon or three in the morning, do far better: shortbread, popcorn, chocolate truffles and fudge. If she is not drinking, skip the bottle entirely rather than sending one she has to put in a cupboard for a year.
Timing, without cutting it fine
Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday in May in Australia, and the week before it is the busiest gifting week of the first half of the year. Orders placed before 12pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day and tracked with Australia Post. We will not quote transit times, because that part is not ours to control, so treat the Tuesday of Mother's Day week as your comfortable deadline rather than the Friday. If you are sending interstate or to a rural address, add more margin again. Our delivery and shipping page has the detail.
Mother's Day questions
Can one order go to my mum and my mother-in-law?
Yes. Choose the hampers, then use the ship-to-multiple-addresses option at checkout to assign a different delivery address, and a different gift card message, to each one. They travel as separate parcels.
What actually comes in a Mother's Day hamper?
Food you would recognise on a good afternoon tea table: Belgian chocolate truffles, shortbread fingers, honey popcorn, fruit jellies, olives and artisan crackers, in combinations that differ by hamper. Hampers arrive in a premium gift box, and most travel in an insulated shipper so the chocolate holds up.
Is there something for a mum who does not drink?
The non-alcoholic hampers are designed around food from the outset rather than being a wine hamper with the bottle removed, so nothing feels missing.
How late can I leave it?
Before 12pm on a weekday means dispatch that day, but the week before Mother's Day is one of the busiest of the year for the parcel network. Ordering in the first half of the week before is the difference between confidence and refreshing a tracking page on Saturday night.
